Default BYPASS A/C COMPRESSOR

I've been told that my A/C compressor is shot and that it will keep causing my v-belt to break if I don't replace it. Can anyone tell me if I can bypass the a/c compressor? And if so, would you happen to know what size belt would work? This is for a 1995 dodge neon.

Take the compressor out and get a belt for a car without AC, you will be fine.

Thank you. I did that. Barely used the A/C anyways, so a $5 belt beat spending $300 for a new compressor.

You can pick up used compressors pretty cheap, particularly on the classified. Think I sold mine for $25 shipped...

Best of luck!
