Default nightshades

i got a can of night shades and i was thinkin on blackin out my tail lights.. i have a spare sitting around so im in the middle of prepping that and spraying, but i was wondering if any one else has done this before.. i was also curious if they did what do they know about applying clear coat to them after they are darkened... my dad who knows how to paint doesn't want to do it not knowing how it will come out so he said to ask first. i was told it can be done but im not gonna test it and waste a good taillight or paint.

I am assuming that night shades is for blackening headlights and tail lights. If thats what its made for, I would again assume that it would work. I have never personally heard of it, but as with anything else, take your time and do it right and you should be fine.
