So I was driving and my friend accidentally kneed the gear shifter into neutral from drive. When I got home my car wouldn't switch out of drive and I had no choice but to shut it off. I couldn't start it after being shifted into park. I checked my shifter cable it seems fine and functional. I believe it may be something inside the car dealing with the gear shifter itself but no idea what. Any suggestions or help?
