Looking for some help. I bought a 1997 Dodge Neon off the original owner who was an older man. He always had the car serviced at the Dodge dealer he bought it from and the car is in great shape with only 67,000 miles. He even had the timing belt and water pump changed. Outside of faded green paint the car is great.
So I have been driving it for 2 months and now the check engine light comes on with a code for an O2 sensor any time the gas gauge reaches 1/4 tank. I put gas in it the check engine light goes off. As long as I keep it above 1/4 tank it stays off, as soon as I reach a 1/4 tank it pops right on and goes off as soon as I put gas in it.
This is my first Neon and my question is, is this normal?
