no blowing hot air

my 2000 dodge neon is not blowing hot air... when I turn it on it takes awhile to get even a little warm and it doesn't getting any hotter. what could be the problem

Thermostat can be stuck open, temperature sensor could be bad and you could be out of coolant also.
