I'm turning my 98 DOHC into a race car, finally, and would rather run an aftermarket temp gauge than the stock one. I'm assuming someone has done this, but I do not want to mess up the temp sensor for the ECU just to have a more reliable gauge. Any help would be appriciated.

 

You can buy a mechanical gauge and an adapter that taps into the radiator hose.
