i allways questioned if i could ever put a srt 4 gauge cluster into my neon. i don't like the look of the guage cluster. the reverse glow doesn't make it look any nicer. the srt 4 is a lot more stylist. i know i can't use the boost quage cause i dont' have a turbo. but maybe in furture i will get one. and i know it won't fit cause the 95-99 are rounder and the 2000 and up are more square so its going to take some fabrication in that sense. then i was wondering if to take a 2005 srt4 front end with the fenders the hood the front bumper. to put all that on a 2dr 98 neon. without doing that much fabrication. i have the evo body kit on right now. but i like the look of the srt 4 front end. let me know thanks

Trying to put SRT-4 parts on a 1st gen is gonna be a lot of fabrication. I would not recomend it unless you know what you are doing and have the patience and time to do it.

All the 2nd gen cluster speedo's are driven from the PCM, the 1st gen speedo's are driven directly from the speed sensor. It's going to take more than patience and fabrication...

i have a 99 dodge neon dohc 5speed, i have a rt motor adn i put a srt4 ecu chip in it adn it works it added on mor horse power,,
but about the guages im sure u can do it it dosent seem liek itd b hard if u have time and look at how it is set up but ti dosnt hurt to try

Theres a guy from New England who has a two door neon and put the entire SRT engine in it, then decided that he wanted the interior as well. He swapped the entire gauge cluster and complete dash into the car. While the dash was a close fit (needed different holes to bolt up) the doors and such were definitely nowhere near close.
Did you try speedhut.com? They may have some gauges that you can customize that aren't reverse glow and light up however you want them to.

Swapping the SRT-4 motor into a 1st gen requires the SRT-4 cluster, it's not a personal preference thing... Jake's NYG is a piece of art, for those that haven't seen it yet... 1995 NYG sedan with a factory roofrack packing an SRT motor, talk about a sleeper! Didn't know how far he had gone with the interior, if we're thinking of the same car...
We dont need any more.
