Someone just made that up on neons.org. Chrysler shows the ECB, ECC, etc in all the Mopar parts catalogs, just like Gary wrote. No where in any Chrysler parts book will you find d4re or s4re that I've seen, I've seen a LOT of Chrysler Parts books.

D4RE (DOHC) and S4RE (SOHC) are the names Chrysler gave the Neon long blocks.

Bad information is about all org is good for anymore.
Good to know info, sucks that I've been helping spread the misinfo for so long...
the .org is good for other things... flame wars... egos... newbie bashing... ruining startup companies...

So then I guess we call it 420A still, ECC rendition? That would be the best bet...To think I was right to think it was a 420a originally and neons.org screwed it all up for us...wow. I guess we should be thankful it didnt go on too long...thanks.
