Got me a another Neon...
So I guess now I will be lurking in this part of the forum too.
Paid $1000 for it, 1996, auto, 83,000 miles, runs and drives great, a/c blows ice cold and it just had all the timing belt/water pump and bs done before I bought it. I put the 18" Motegi's on it, found them locally thru EBay for $350 with the Toyo tires already on them, what a steal. My boy is 13 now and figured I could build him a little toy on the cheap(instead of giving him my Grand National) for when he is ready to drive in a couple more years, plus I can drive it now and save a hell of a lot on gas by not driving the HEMI!

That's a great purchase there VFS. Looks good on those wheels too. That will definitely be a great starter car for your son, especially since there's so many parts available for it.
the front bumper is looking kinda saggy on the driver's side, but that's an easy fix. The tires look great on that car. Great find. I like the Neon for being a cheap, daily driver that doesn't take a whole lot to beat the snot out of quite a few cars that are twice the cost. Being that you saved so much on the car you can afford to put a lot more into it. Auto makers are required to shelf parts for a minimum of 10 years after a car has been discontinued. So parts will be available for quite a while yet.
The front bumper looks to be the result of a previous owners fender-bender... My friend that owns a bodyshop said he would fix that, paint the hood and a blue factory rear neon wing that I have for $100.
After that will come a chrome tipped dual rear exhaust, CAI, re-tint the windows and the stereo. I also have a pair of seats from a Dodge Viper that I was going to see if I can get to fit in it.
