neon throttle body
i have a 1998 r/t and have heard that a throttle body off of a 4.0 jeep would fit. however i havent heard what is involved in doing this. if anyone knows please let me know.
Just a little bit of custom work. I do however dont really think its worh all the work, if you want a better throttle body you can purchase a performance one for an easier instalation.
Got Dremel?
You'll have to slot one of the mounting holes on the new TB just a bit. You'll need to remove the butterfly shaft from the Neon TB and then modify it slightly so it will fit both the Jeep butter fly and TB. You'll need ot swap the Neon sensors onto the Jeep TB. Those are the key things that I remember. Significantly cheaper than a bling $200 aftermarket unit. Some people like to pay for convenience though. If that's the case, installation should only run another $30-50 at the local shop... probably more than what th Jeep TB costs on its own...
Best of luck!
