Default water pump

How difficult is it to replace the water pump on a 98 neon sohc? Should I replace the timing belt since I will already be in there? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

it isnt too hard to change. if you are already going to have to take the belt off to get to the pump you might as well replace it while you are there just so that you dont have to take apart again. look at it this way buying a belt now would be cheaper then buying a new motor later. remember to support the motor since you need to take the motor mount off. and you will need a big vise to push the belt tensioner pin back in. i think the part most people have a problem with is resetting the timing. would be the best to pick up a haynes manul while you are at it too.
