I would have left the tranny on the engine until it was out... Just tilt the passenger side up at an angle, comes out fairly easily. In your spot, I'd keep pulling on the tranny (with help, it weighs about 80 pounds dry) until it's completely free. If you haven't even cracked the seal between the engine and tranny, you've probably missed a bolt or two... like most of us do...

Best of luck!

hey i took a huge pry bar and kept on taking it out but it feels like theres something holding it in from the inside...... what all do u have to take off on the inside of the transmission? i have clutch completely off.... theres like 8 or 9 bolts that i took off from the inside holding the 2 plates and theres pop pins on the inside too.... i think the pop pins are some of the problem but i dont know

There wasn't anything on the inside (bellhousing) that I had to remove.

Take a look around the outside of the case and make sure you have all the bolts loose, there are some fairly hidden ones. Also you need to take the bolts that bolt the flywheel to the clutch off to make it a little easier.
