Default CAM SENSOR?

i just put a new motor in my 95 SPORT afew weeks ago, and ive been having alot of problems. but this first one has me really stumped the car will not run with the cam sensor plugged in. i have a total of 4 cam sensors and 2 of them i know are good, ive tried all of them and with all of them it wont start unless i unplug it. im lost cause i thought for sure it wouldnt run if the sensor was unplugged but thats not the case. HELP PLEASE!

you might have a short sumwhere..recently my car wouldnt start and would blow fuses so i started unplugging sensors, once i unplugged the downstream o2 sensor it works great, but as soon as i plugged it back in it would die, and pop a fuse

Could be a bad PCM. Are you throwing any codes?

The cam sensor is only used for the injectors (sequential multi-port).

Where did you get the engine? DOHC perchance? Any chance the head is off of a 2.4L? The head is the came casting number, but the signal is shifted 90 degrees, so the #4 injector will fire when the #1 is supposed to, and so on. I don't know if it was the sensor being rotated, or the magnet on the cam, or waht. I remember people having fits when first doing the 2.4L swap. Most just rewired the injectors, but others rotated the sensor somehow. Been quite a while since I looked at al of it, so a good google search on the 2.4L swap might turn up some good info.

Best of luck!
