Twin turbo neon????
hey i have a 93 mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 twin turbo motor i herd you can put a V6 in a neon with sum cutting and all so im guessing you can put this in right? just wondering you guys opinion on this i want to put it in or probably sell the motor.
i have heard of this too, BUT, one thing that comes to mind is that the V6 may be too heavy for a neon. besides, i dont know how much you could cut out of a neon with out causing problems structural integrity .
What tranny were you planning on using? What were you going to do for engine management? Can't use the stock Neon parts for that, or the stock 300GT parts for that matter. It's more than just some cutting, it's a serious project that I'm betting you don't have the patience or money for. The only V6 swap I've heard of is the Junkyard Dog, and that was a different V6, supercharged, and ugly as sin.
Sell the motor, buy a 2.4L, build it up, and turbocharge it (single turbo works plenty good, twin won't do better).
Best of luck!
