I had a guy at the muffler shop i went to (hes got like 10 neons), tell me that you can take second gen springs and slap em in first gen and it drops 1-2 inches. Fact or fiction?
i bought lowering springs off of ebay from a 2002 neon and put on my 98 neon..the springs sit a little different but i havent noticed any problems...the front dropped real nice but i cut 1 coil off the back to set it a little lower...so far so good
looks good, but he is saying the stock springs drop 2 inches... and how is your suspension? stock struts??? i need new struts baaaaad my neons like a boat in a hurricain.
stock it sure wont drop it two inches but im not sure what it will, mine are alredy lowerings springs..just with even more cut off...i have te koni adjustable struts so im not sure what it is like yet...i havent even taken it outa the driveway...when i do i will let you know...theres plenty of pics of it in the gallery, including the suspension...the next thing to come is srt-4 rims
Stock 1st gen springs will lower a 2nd gen. 1-2" sounds right. The Mopar performance lowering springs for the 2nd gens are just stock 1st gen ACR springs.
umm quick question i put....motor oil in my transmission fluid goes...[] wat happens now?
how in the world did you manage that? My guess is that you picked up the first thing that looked like a quart bottle and poured it in. You will need to drop the tranny pan and drain all the oil/fluid out, then you will need to change to filter, put a new pan gasket on and refil the tranny with tranny fluid and keep your fingers crossed. Hopefull you didnt start and/or drive it after realizing what you did.

I dont want to know how you did that must have been a mix up with the quarts have to flush the trans and replace the filter not to much of a big deal just more of a pain in the ***.
