Default CAI Question

Alright I just installed a cool air intake on my 97 neon sohc 2.0l. Im confused on why my air filter is where it is. heres some pics. if you have any comments or ideas to help me out shoot for it. I dont think Im getting very cold air where this filter is located.

Default RE: CAI Question

What you got there is a WAI not a CAI thats (warm not cold).
Still better then the stock set up as it will give you better air flow, but it won't give you colder air. Cold air intakes such as the iceman go infront of the battery and a little lower.
Your best bet is to do the 3.0l caravan gheto cai, not as pretty but cheap and does a great job.
If you want more info on that email me or w/e I will send you a link to the how to.

Ide like to see the how too! I'de like better performance out of my intake but Ide like to keep my existing parts! I did spend some good money on them and they look beautiful under the hood. My question is how the hell you get an air intake under the battery lol! Unless.. well just show me the how too. Thanks

Play with the parts you have and see if you can get it to drop down from the TB. Hood clearance might be a problem...

Best of luck!
