Hey everyone,
I have a rough idle and when i pull the 4th cylinder wire it doesnt have as strong of spark as the first 3 cylinders. I have tried new wires and new coil pack. when i pull the wire from the 4th though the idle will rise up and smooth out.. then die down and get rough again. This cylinder also has low compression. I was thinking thats why it smooths out for a sec but the weak spark on that cylinder i cant figure out. Any opinions?

 

I fixed the problem... i found that the egr hose and one of the brake booster hoses were switched.. somehow that was causing the bad idle and all.. Switched around and purrs like a champ.. nutty

 

Just a thought for the back of your head. All the voltage you will get is minimum arc over voltage for the conditions. If compression is low so will be your arc over voltage.
