Default GRRR HELP!

Alright, I am about 2 miles from taking my 98 Neon R/T DOHC for a long drive on a short *#&$*$@ pier!! I have been going through P/S and Alternator belts like mad! I have replaced the P/S 3 times now, and the alt. once.. well tonight I was driving down the road and BOTH of them went at THE SAME TIME... Anybody have any suggestions before I take this thing and blow it up? Thanks! :-D

how about the belt tensioner are they too tight or too loose and causing them to snap I used to break belts on my mustang turned out it was the idiots at the garage over tighening the belts they would seem great at first for a lil while then snap and i'd be screwed so then I decided to get the belts from them do it myself not over tighten them never had another problem I dunno if this will help hope it does good luck.

are the Belts Breaking or just coming off the pulleys?

If the belts are coming off - have your main pulley checked for alignment.

The 2nd time I rebuilt my motor - I did not have my main pulley completely seated - When I accellerated really hard - my Alternator belt would fly off.

If the Belts are breaking - I would only take a guess that your belts are either over tighten or your pulley are cutting into them and wearing them out really fast.

if the crank pulley is slightly bent that that could be the cause too...and it is probally only throwing the p.s. belt because of the alternator belt....in order for the alt. belt to fly off, it has to go through the p.s. belt

Well, lets just hope the belts weren't tight enough.. I am doing the installations (Yes.. I am retarded :-D, more like cant afford to have someone else do them) Its just it is a bitch trying to get those things tight and whatnot. I think I may rip out the A/C that way I have a bit more room to work with.. All that junk just gets in the way..

While I am postin too, I have to change my foglight bulbs.. anyone have suggestions? Dodge put the round-headed bolts on there with nuts at the end.. well.. you crank on the nut and the whole bolt turns.. this is driving me nuts too! Any pointers greatly appreciated! :-D

the bolt is made so that when it sits right, the head wont spin, but it the might be pushed out a little....anyways, you could try to stick a screwdriver up the the round hear of the bolt and try to push it in while cranking on the nut...might do sumthing
