Default Stalls after 20 minutes

My '96 Neon SOHC starts great and runs great...for the first 15-20 minutes. After that, it stalls.

It will start right back up again, but depending on how long I waited, it will stall again. If I wait a minute before starting it, it will run for a minute. If I wait two minutes, it will run 2 minutes...if I wait 5 minutes...it will run 5 minutes...etc!

Just before it stalls (at around 20 minutes), I can hear a "crackling-snapping" noice comming from the exhaust. Once I hear that, I have about 10 seconds to get ready for it to stall.

I get a CEL, code p351 (coil...)

So far I have changed:
- Plugs
- Coil Pack
- EGR valve
- Fuel Filter
- PCV valve

Anybody have any other ideas?

BTW, it's been doing this for over a year now...but since I work less than 20 minutes away, I usually get home/work just in the nick of time

What kind of plugs did you put in there? Also could be your IAC.

the same thing happened to my neon and i went though about a grand befor i figured out that it was the crank shaft positioning sensor. it can be a pain to get out though. i took it in to have it done and even they had trouble. it broke off inside the little hole. but it was fixed and now it runs good.
ps if it stalls sometimes shutting off the car and coasting can get you a little further. then start it back up and try again
