Default Speed Sensor

Hey my 1995 Plymouth Neon's speedometer hasn't worked for like the past 45,000 miles (it now has 232,000 miles on it) and the computer is now giving me code 12 which i guess is the "no speed/distance sensor signal" and i was just wondering if anyone knew where the speed sensor is at and how hard it would be to replace.
If code 12 isn't the correct then please correct me. thanks

The code 12 is fine, it just means the battery has been disconnected within the last 50 key cycles. As for the spedo, it could be the speed sensor, wiring, or https://dodgeforum.com/m_179505/tm.htm the gauge cluster needs soldering.

Yep, cluster needs to be reflowed. You may have to add some solder too.

A lot of the times you don't have to re-flow the board. The connector directly behind the cluster get pulled out. Pull the cluster and see it is are connected. If they are then you should do what Casper and Das said.
