Default O2 Sensor

Alright, so I get in my car, turn it on, CEL is on.. WTF.. so I look around, find the info for the OBD and use it, find out its an O2 sensor (Dammit, I swear it was the Sea Foam I used not too long ago!) Anyhow, down to my question... What O2 sensor is reasonably priced, but still good. The only ones I have found are 80 bucks a peice.. and I need brand information too.

Thanks!

The cheapest Ive seen are the Bosch ones, they cost 60 for the upstream and for the downstream. If you don't really care about what kind and are just looking for price then go bosch. I warn you. boshc products for the neon are really crappy

Yeah, I know, I made the mistake of putting their spark plugs in my car.. BAH.. Is that 60 bucks for both of them or each?

Price would be each...

Forget Bosch. Spend the extra money and get NTK (which is what you'll get at the dealer). My Bosch sensor started acting up in less than 20k miles. Waste of time and money...

Best of luck!

Alright, so I went to Advanced Auto and I got the OBD scanner to hook up to the car. Here is what the print out said (They are confused, as am I)

Advance Auto Parts

Vehicle Scanned
1998 Neon
Y=2.0L SFI DOHC

Codes

ENG: 21/P0141
O2 1/2 Heater

Any advice..? I did the OBD suggested on the Forum to get the CEL light to blink, and it gave me code 21, but I dont know what this 1/2 heater thing is..

Answered my own question. But you guys may find this site useful for diagnosing your own engine codes:

Sorry to steal the thread, just put the sea foam in my brother in laws Neon. Now a garage is going to charge him 300 to change 3 sensors. Does this sound right? 3 of them? Thanks in advance.

The 02 sensors. I told him to take it in and have the cat looked at. It stalls at idle and you can smell the rotten egg smell. The garage came back and said the cat was ok but all 3 sensors need to be changed. I know of the erg and the 02, what could be the 3rd?

Its possible, but more than likely just trying to make some money. There are 2 O2 sensors, but the egr is not a sensor.
