Default changing heater core

do I have to rip out the dash completely, or is there a trick you guys use for replacing the heater core? I don't have any problem with taking out the dash, I just wanted to ask before I started ripping into things. Thanks

so I don't have to complete remove the dash? Just start with the.....cone-shaped.....do hicky.......and keep removing stuff until I've got it out?

ya my heater motor, if thats what your talking about changin, was rusty because my windshield cover at the bottom leaked water into the area where the heater sucks warm air in and it came in contact with the motor and locked up. we took it completly appart and removed all the rust and it works like new!
