Default removing an oil filter?

Hey guys this is a really really stupid question but how the heck do u take off an oil filter that just wont bloody get off. I've tried oil filter wrenchs, i've tried those rubber strap wrench things, i just cant figure out how the heck to get this off. it just wont come off. any ideas?

lift up the front end. take a pointy object and scrape around where the filter meets the block. SPRAY with wd-40 while the MOTOR IS COLD. wait 2 hrs and spray again. wash filter with soap and water to get rid of -40. try strap wrench again. if that don't work get a BFS (Big Freaking Screwdriver) and hammer it through the filter to use as a lever to turn the filter. good luck.

Really large channel locks, or a claw type filter wrench on a big breaker bar usually does wonders.

the screwdriver works wonders, but if you hammer it in there, make sure you do it on the bottom half of the filter...and closer to the motor and you might muck up the threads that hold it on there

hey guys thanks... i tried the claw type filter and pretty much had to puncher the filter with the claw to get it out. thanks guys
