Default 95 neon problems Help

1995 neon sohc, pretty much have oil everywhere, its barely leaking out just had a little bit on my driveway(was sitting there for a few days), but the engine is covered in oil and gunk, started taking it all apart and theres oil in the intake manifold as well, makes it really hard to tell where the leaks coming from, there is a small puddle on top of the transmission, seems to be mostly leaking from the driverside by the sensor right under the valve cover, i read somewhere that oil in the intake may be a valve going bad but im just really stumped on this one, the car belongs to my g/f and it broke down about 2 weeks ago, replaced the plugs and #3 had oil dripping off the plug, tried starting it and it wouldnt turn over, added new gas to it and when pressed the gas while starting and it finally turned over, it would bog out as soon as it was it was put into drive or reverse, after a few tries it finally ran fine with just a little white smoke coming out of the exhaust

White smoke is probably the headgasket blown. Does your coolant still look green? Oil in the spark plugs wells are leaky tube seals on the inside of the valve cover.

I just fixed my spark plug wells and it took only about 45 minutes and I'm a slow worker. As far as the head gasket goes you'er on your own for that. I have never done one and hope that I never do.

decided to just scrap this car, ran into a ton of problems, a lot of corrosion and rust, needs a bunch of suspension parts in the front, a motor mount is completly rusted and one bolt is missing, need new headlights, coolant lines and all are starting to crack, ya the list goes on, just not worth the time and money...

damn dont get rid of it, it is the black sheep of the neons. 95 and only 95's, engine wise. you could have a bad gasket for the cam position sensor, also the oil sending unit could be leaking like mine, it is not however, the head gasket. as far as the oil in the spark plug compartment, take the valve cover off and you will see 4 rubber grommets, replace those. that will take care of your oil leak, or, many parts houses carry a complete top end gasket set. i payed 162 bux for mine, head gasket, cam sensor gasket, plug gaskets, egr, valve cover, intake and exhaust, even tho 95's dont have an exhaust gasket, it does come with one.

what ever you do, dont junk it. they are good cars, mine, when i first got it, i had to replace about 4 sensors, and the ecu.
