Two neons with problems
First my problem, well i got my cam put in, i got everything running right, exept it wont start right away, the code is saying the camshaft positionsensor isnt working, is there only one way the thing will go in? The opening for the clip is down right? or do i need to get a new sensor?
Next is my friends neon, that runs like poot, it kinda sounds like its running a turbo with a bloob bloob bloob sound to it we checked everything, re did wiring harness up top, checked fuel pump, egr, injectors, spark plugs, you name it weve prolly touched it. the only other thing were thinking is the fuel pressure regulator, we havent dinked with it because of where it is. I suppose it sounds like the air/fuel ratio is out of wack the way it runs, What controlls that?
Any help would be special! Thanks!

Here is some more info, since you said cam, I am assumng you have a SOHC:
INSTALLATION
The target magnet has two locating dowels that fit
into machined locating holes in end of the camshaft.
(1) Install target magnet in end of camshaft.
Tighten mounting screw to 3.4 N·m (30 in. lbs.)
torque.
(2) Install camshaft position sensor. Tighten sensor
mounting screws to 9 N·m (80 in. lbs.) torque.
(3) Place brake booster hose and electrical harness
in holders on end of valve cover.
(4) Attach electrical connectors to coolant temperature
sensor and camshaft position sensor.
(5) Install air cleaner inlet tube and filtered air
tube.
