Can someone tell me how to remove the stock steering wheel and air bag in my 96 dodge neon to install a steering wheel with the hub adapter and all (ive never done it) if it seems too difficult then ill get it professionally done but if ya can tell me then it'd be appriciated, thanks

 

discon the batt so the air bag don't kill you (it can really happen). wait for about 1/2 hr after discon the batt before starting. lock the steering wheel. discon side covers on the wheel. unbolt airbag and discon lead for bag and horn. put in safe spot for e-bay or whatever later. unbolt wheel and remove weight. use a puller for the wheel (rent one from local parts store). good luck.

 

Thanks for the info, Yea when I said i never done it b4 i meant i never done it on a vehicle with air bags still intact (nuttin but older models and wrecks up until now lol) But yea, So I just disconnect the battery and wait about 30 mins to an hour right? Just dont want the airbag to kill me, I've heard of ppl getttin seriously injured from the air bags, but yea thanks 4 the info and good luck 2 you 2
