Hope it's ok to butt in here. I'm getting a obd1 code 42 that points to the ASD relay. On my 91 datota, this relay doubles as a fuel pump relay. I strongly suspect a wiring issue on a ebay pump i had put in a few months ago. From reading the above quote from Alpar, it seems that, rather than overly concerning myself with PCM contacts or asd relay swap, that perhaps my bogus fuel pump is solely responsible for my getting that code 42? I'm hoping i can simply install a new good fuel pump and be on my way.. TIA
