ok i know it is sacreligious to put an import engine in american car but i was wonderin if a 420a eclipse engine would basically bolt into a 95 sohc because if that is so i might consider buying one with no engine and making a sleeper project. i am completely new to neons and am in the process of rebuilding mine right now so any tips/tricks or even suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Neither the 420a nor 4G63 engine will swap into a neon. The head is reversed on the 420a and the 4G63 isn't worth the effort. Hell the 4G63 won't even swap into a N/A eclipse without lots of money, so why would it swap into a neon?
I really wish this would become a sticky!!!

Why dont we just make a permenant post about this bloody subject? I think every other day there is a post about an engine swap... Make a list, check it twice, and post it for all to see.. then when people ask we can smack em beside the head and point em in the right direction... Then if they suggest otherwise, tell 'em to keep us posted...
