Ok i got into a fender bender which basically smashed my frontend and my radiator is now leaking. Only thing that survived was my Twin Halo projectors (Thank God). Anyways i had to get her back to the house and while i was doing about 40 i can feel her increasing speed even with my foot off the pedal. I had to basically ride my brakes and when coming to a stop, the car makes a weird grinding noise and continues to move. ANyone ever had this problem?

 

Sounds like something got out of whack with the accident. Is the grinding coming from one side more than the other? Intensity?

 

The grinding is coming from the passenger side. I just drove her out today to see if it still does it. Its not as loud as before but you can still hear it.

 

Take a look for any parts that might be binding. Could be anything from a wheel bearing to the shroud in the wheel well. As for the sticking pedal, look at the throttle cable, might be binding too

my sisters Neon used to do that. just barely tap the throttle and it would just keep on accelerating even when i would put on the brake. it doesn't do it anymore though. it just kinda fixed itself (so to speak) even though i know its gonna come back *cries*

 

Take the throttle body off and clean it out really well. when I took mine off my Neon, there was gunky black stuff all on the underside of it. And my throttle did stick every once in a while.
