Default losing milage

I have recently changed the oil with syntec blend motor oil, flushed and relpaced the coolant, installed an intake system, and did an ignition tune up (plugs, wires, etc.). I seem to be losing gas milage. Anyone have any idea's on why this might be? I am getting ready to put a new head gasket in either today or tomorrow (depending on work schedule). Any idea's would be greatly appreciated on my end. Thanks.

Don't know why your milage went down, but you should replace the PCV valve also. Also don't waste your money on syntec blends, they offer no better protection than conventional oils. Go full synthetic or conventional.

Is the car running any differently (other than losing mpg)? Any leaks?

Maybe you like the sound of the intake too much. I had the same problem when I put my exhaust on. Now I'm used to it and my mileage went back up. Just a thought.
