Default 95 SOC. Help please

I am sure you have seen this before. The car starts fine but as it warms it runs worse stumble on acceleration, backfire through intake, loss of power. sometimes seems down on a cyl. idle seems good, service engine light flashes during hard acceleration but stays on the rest of the time. The car smells like it is flooding (too much gas) Cat. converter not plugged. I have also put a new coil, new plugs and wires and I drove it and all seemed ok. Then I went to go to my brothers house (20 miles) and the problem started again.

Your tube seals may be leaking. You could try replacing the valve cover gasket along with the tube seals to see if that helps. Have you checked your oil for coolant or coolant for oil? Could be a headgasket problem as well.

Yes I checked the oil and coolant. I will try the tubes. but all the seals are new. I just installed the head and this is the problem I had when I started it and let it run. Thanks for the advice I will try it and let you know.

stick you key in the ignition and turn the key to where your not starting the car but everything comes on,( furtherst point without starting car) do this about five times. ( on-off,on- off etc..) your check engine light will begin to blink in a series of flashes and pauses, the pauses last about 2 hard seconds between the different codes and one second between each number for the code, for example: Blink pause.... Blink Blink is a code 21 which means one of your O2 sensors has a problem. at the end of the code readings you will recieve a code 55 which just means that there are no more codes to be read. during your reading you will most likely see the code 12 which just means you disconnected the battery within the last 50 start ups ( key on cycles ). hope some of that was helpfull and good luck.
