My Interior light wont turn off ? Does anybody know what the problem could be?

 

when you open your door the light goes on , this is becuase of a button at the bottom of the door that releases once the door is open and completes the circuit. open your door and at the bottom ( not on the door part, the part it closes on) should be something that you can press in, it should be black, check that out to see if the light will go on and off, if that doesn't solve the prob you could have a short somewhere, does anything else fail to turn off? does the chime go off? hope that was helpfull and good luck!!

 

It never turns off no matter what, I'll check the door buttoms tomorrow, thanks!

 

stupid question but could it just be the switch for the lights? like it just needs to be turned to where it turns the light off.

 

no, the dome light comes on whenever the door opens, same with your trunk light, whenever you open it, it will come on neither of mine come on and I didn't feel like messing with it so I just hooked up a toggle switch.

 

Yeah my dome light just flickers, I can hear a clicking noise where the switch is. Do you think I need a new headlight switch ?

 

Im not sure if you need a new one, if the headlights still work and everything else is ok then I dont think so, but you could, It might be a problem with the actuall button itself, sounds like a short though if its just flickering, do you hold it in for a little while and it flickers or just when you push and release it flickers for a while and just stays that way?

 

It only flickers with the car off and the light off, when the doors open it stays on, I have no idea
