Default engine clean

I want to degrease my engine so I can do some work, is there any precautions or anything I need to know before doing so ?

Avoid sensors or use a sensor safe cleaner.

I would plastic bag your airbox to keep mass amounts of water out of it, also try not to immerse your alternator in water.

i just park the car where u are going to do the engine wash.. the i use saran wrap and wrap around all of the wires and plugs and all that electrical stuff.

When you do clean you engine bay try using turtle wax, someone on this forum once used turtle wax and it came out looking great, it was a sohc though and even had pics of the engine bay after using it, should come up on a search
