Default Mike vs. the Crank Pulley: the final episode.

I have overcame the crank pulley and managed to get it off without doing terrible things to it like I had planned on. I broke 2 more gear pullers in the process but managed to get it off.

It was funny I got the gear puller warrentied at the store, brought it home, broke it, brought it back and got another one within 30 minutes. The woman at the counter couldnt do anything but laugh.

It was definitly the water pump that was pooched. The bearing was shot and the impeller was bouncing all over it. The new water pump is in with a bead of RTV just to be extra sure. The motor is almost back together now, Im gonna go back out and work on it next week and get the car back on the road.

Just thought you all would like to know.

You should change the belt and tensioner while you are in there!
