Can someone please tell me where the speen sensor is on a 97' Dodge Neon, Ive been looking and I cant find it

 

on the back top of the trans by the passenger side axel......
wide black clip with 3 wires

 

it has 3 wires ? the sensor I got has only 2 prongs does that make a difference ? and do you have to remove the airbox to get to it ?

 

maybe it does have 2....you are gonna wanna take out the airbox if you plan on getting to it from the top...but you can get to it from underneath without removing anything

what does it look like???? does it have 2 bolts..one on each side...kinda rectangle shaped???
or one bolt...kinda oval shaped...with a big connector plug ontop and the opposite side has a little stem with a small clip where the speedo gear hooks on???

if the neon is an automatic then it might have the speed sensor that mounts to the spindle behind the rotor...if its the rectangle sensor then thats it

if its the speedometer sensor then it goes on the top of the trans
