how hard would it be to change an automatic transmission to a manual. 95 plymouth neon DOHC. also can an SOHC manual trans fit and run a DOHC properly?

It's not too hard and can be done in a couple of days. I have posted a how-to before that a guy has on his perosnal website. Here it is again...

And yes a SOHC tranny which has the 3.55 tranny will fit on the DOHC which came with the 3.94 tranny. The numbers are the final gear ratio's, just an FYI.

 

yeah its not too bad, ive swapped a manual to an auto about a year ago...but then brought it back to a manual...more or less just wanted to see how it would work out
