A/T to M/T swap
You need to change out the entire cross member to get the bobble strut on there. i have been running my car for a couple of months now without it and have not has any ill-effects. If it gets bad, then its torque chain time.
you can use the atuomatic ECM , you just have to ground one side of the clutch switch, the hook the neutral switch wire to the other end & it will only start with the clutch in but youll have a 6700 rev limit instead of 7200,with the clutch in you get a 5500? rev limit, and dont even have to let off the throttle to bang the next gear, you push in the clutch with it over that RPM it kills the motor long enough to grab another & dump it without lettin off - i did this in my race car, the only downfall is the idle changes with the clutch in or out cuz the ecm is trying to compensate the idle thinkin the auto is goin into gear
you would have to change trh drocc member because the cars that came stock with an auto do not have the mount for the strut.....honestly, unless you are really planning on driving the hell outta the car or hard racing it....you wont notice that its not there.....but if you do find that you want it, it would be real easy to make a bracket....
you could get a 1/4in. X 1 inch wide piece of flat bar stock......
cut a piece about 6 inches long...
bend it into a U shape....
drill 2 holes in it...
and weld it to the crossmember and mount the strut to it....
(if you went this route you would have to actually measure it to find out what lengths and where the holes should be)
