Default Oil in tailpipe

My 98 Neon is smoking like a frieght train and has oil coming out of the tailpipe. The car is showing code 42. We replaced the relay and still get that code. No water in oil no oil in water. Doesn't overheat.

Heh, might as well go and get a rebuild kit and rebuild the engine while you got it torn down to the pistons.. why waste the time, right? With a bit of elbow grease, a little know how (Like a Haynes Manual ha!) time and money, anything is possible.. oh cant forget you have to be a bit mechanically inclined

its not that bad, but its easiest out of the car and with block completely striiped down.....im in the process of doin this right now....
while your at it you should replave the bearings too.....new rings will run about 85.00 from autozone....and put all new gaskets on too...including a head gasket
