Firstly, you should drop that filter a bit lower in your engine compartment.

Secondly, I would choose a color and stick with that color. Like Spud said, it doesnt look too bad if some things are different shades and such. Just so it doesnt look like a one colored blob.. Break things up a bit, you know? You can paint the valve cover, depending on the miles on your car I would be changing the gasket and tube/tube seals on it anyways, might as well paint it while its off.. there are other various things taht you can paint also.. Just takes some time to sit and think "What'll look good?"

You can buy chrome braiding to go around your hoses. I was thinking about that.. Its like 30 bucks for a variety of sizes. I thought it would look cool. especially if you get the chrome/silver braiding and then get the colored "nuts" that go on the ends.

I would stay away from the plastic shields for the wires, as I find that to look like **** :-D

And you can spruice up under your hood by just giving it a bath at the car wash! Use the engine/tire degreaser, soak it in that real good for a while. Close the hood, let it set while you are washing the rest of the car, then go back and rinse it out.

Hope this helps!
