the dash speakers are measured from bolt hole-to-bolt hole
not the actual size of the speaker itself....which, last i checked, would be 3.5"
what causes the problem with the speakers in the pic is that huge *** ring around them

and door speakers on all 95-99 neons a 6 3/4's.....if anyone doesnt belive this part, go out and buy some 6.5's and throw in there

In my 99 Neon, the front speakers are 6.75" and the rear speakers are 6"x9". I don't think my 3.5" tweeters even work. When I blew my front two speakers and they stopped working I didn't even hear any sound comming from where you say the tweeters would be.

Atleast I know there's a facotory location to put 'em once I get some CDT component speakers. It's gonna be a bitch making two MDF baffles so I could fit two 6.5" speakers instead of 6.75".

Hey try this..... Take the stock speakers out and detach the ring from the stock speaker, it's about and inch thick. I used that part to mount my 6.5's. I have to make another MDF baffle on top of it just to clear the window!! Not much room for depth down there.

another idea is to go to walmart and buy the 10 dollar 6.5s they come with a ring that has 3 tabs on it that extend to the factory holes and they fit over ur aftermarket speakers aslong as you take the flashy grill off i just had to do it 5 minutes ago when i put my 6.5" jensens up in the doors
jensens in the doors
infinity 3.5s in the dash
and pioneer 6x9s lol

For the dash 3.5's..... If you ever see a 300C in the j/y they have really nice Infinity 3.5" that fit perfectly in the Neon dash. You just have to swap the plug with the stock Neon speaker. Oh ya and I just measured my Dash speaker that I have in front of me, 3.5 inch hole to hole.
