Problems with Shaved door kit.
Ok I know this might have been covered before but I can not find it. I purchased a shaved door handle kit from airbagit.com, same as chassistech.com as well but the problem I have is when I went to hook it and the diagram that they gave me I do not completely understand so I went online to another web site and printed out there diagram and it still makes no since so I am trying to get some help in hooking my kit up and making it work right. This is what I have, I hooked the whole kit up as far as all the wires go, the solenoids are hooked up but I have not mounted anything yet because I want to make sure that everything will be ok. Now when I went to put my key in the ignition and turn it on and when I go to push a button I hear the transmitter click but nothing else will happen like the solenoids do nothing so I am not sure if it is hooked up wrong or what the problem is. Hipefully someone out there knows the exact place for all the wires and can help me or know where to get a real nice diagram for dummies to hook this up. Thanks for any help that I can get.

RE: Problems with Shaved door kit.
Well I was mistaking in the last reply. I just went outside to test it and yes it does work with out the key on. Remember that I do not have anything mounted just all wires hooked up to see if it works before I mount everything. All I hear is the transmitter clicking when I hit the buttons on the remote but nothing else happens. I hope that you can help me please.

RE: Problems with Shaved door kit.
yes there is. Go to www.chassistech.com then on the left side click shaved doors and then go to the one that saids shaved door kit medium duty and click on it then click on the 38lb one and then go to tech instructions. Where I get confused is the relays and where the wires run to. I just might be a dumb *** but ,aybe you can help and that would be great. I am going to go mess with it right now but I was just thinking that I do not have the solenoids ground at all they are hooked right up to the relay, but I believe that the relay and the solenoid would have to be grounded together and that might be one of my problems. Lert me know if you can help. thanks for replying.

RE: Problems with Shaved door kit.
ok, ive got the diagram in another window...what part about the relays dont you understand???
from the looks of it, the relays get grounded together to the battery
it looks like they didnt do a very good job writing the diagram....
both terminal 86's get grounded to the battery
both terminal 87's go to the selonoids...one to one the other to the other
terminal 85 of one relay connects to the green wire from the brain box
terminal 85 of the other relay connects to the blue wire from the brain box
the red wire from the brain box goes to a fuse, the other side of the fuse goes to the battery.....on the brain box side of the fuse connects to both terminal 30's....the grey wire also connects to the red wire
as for the 3rd option relay:
both terminal 87 and 85 connect to the red wire from the brain box
i dont know if this helps at all, but check all wires and let me know.....
where did you say you could hear clicking comming from???
