I know on my 95 neon sport coupe, it has rear disc brakes and a 3.94 gear ratio manual transmission, which came in the 96 and up r/ts to the best of my knowledge anyways. Is the 95 sport coupes the same as a 96+ r/t??? jus curious what the big significants of the "Sport Coupes" are. Thanks.

 

didn't the R/T come in 98? and the Sport coupes came with the DOHC... wish my Sport did...but its a sedan...

i was wondering if there was anything special too because i can get one with some body damage for $500.00

 

i hear the sport coup is almost the same as the R/T weight light and good gearing higher break pressure for faster stops and mine came with the light as hell aluminum rims

 

wheres that sport coupe for $500? i need another race car - my honest opinion an r/t is just a dressed up sport coupe, i got ahold of a sport coupe with a SOHC once, i think that was a downgrade option

 

i was just looking at production numbers, it says there was only 178 1996 Plymouth sport coupes (2dr) made,..
thats what my blue one is.. - oops, lol

 

The 95 sport coupe is generally the lightest neon available. That's why its so popular in autocrossing. The 95 NYG is the lightest though.

too far of a drive from ohio, its hard to find a DOHC 2 door around here for some reason, i dont want a 4 door theyre too hard to get in the little window,

whats the general factory weight of a sport coupe? mine gutted then caged is 1900 Lbs with me in it and fuel
