Default no rpm's

ok i read the post already on here and my problem is similar. but i have just replaced the map sensor because i to had the number 14 code. however i cant go past 4k and at bout 1/4 throttle it almost dies. if i reset the computer , start it back up and rev it all the way it will hit the real redline at like 6700rpms. but when i let off a sec or two later it sputters and fumbles all over. also after that if i start it up it almost dies and i gota play with the gas to keep it running for a few secs then it smooths out and idles.HELP!!!

all depends....i had a car that had bad timing and it would idle real good once and a while....but starting it was a pain, you had to almost floor it the whole time while cranking.....maybe its just a little off, maybe thats not your problem at all....

sumone else can tell you how to check your timing

could possibly be a throttle position sensor going haywire
