Default Fuel delivery.. maybe a sensor?!

Recently ive been having problems on and off with my 1995, it has an 1998 SOHC engine in it. I have had no problems with the engine other than the one below and ive run it for about a year now...

I start the car no problems get goin down the road and it starts acting like its not getting enough fuel, it dies and then picks back up, but it also idles like crap when this happens. The problem seems to get better as the engine heats up but it still happens. I have changed the TPS but not the IAC.

I also changed a fuel line recently, it was a clean install and i purged the line before reconnecting it to the fuel rail... but the problem didn't start till i put the new line on.

also i get the P0505 code when i scan the computer, the oxygen sensor is bad too but its been bad since i put the 1998 engine in.

My first question is will the IAC affect the engine when it is not idling?
Second can air get in the fuel rail and stay there?
What does the P0505 indicate a problem towards besides idle control malfunction?

Thanx for any help you can offer in advance!

That's exactly what my car was doing, and i thought it wasnt getting enough fuel n stuff. Well here my idler pulley and my tensioner pulley for my timing belt was disinegrated and got worse and worse. So idk but that's what happend to mine until it finally jumped enough teeth and died lol. How many miles is on it???

Try cleaning the TB and IAC up. It may be full of soot.

The engine has almost 160,000 miles, i just changed the TPS today im going to check out the AIC.

I know the oxygen sensor needs to be changed, thats being saved for the weekend if i can't get it fixed.

The timing belt is brand new about 5,000 miles ago, I changed that when the head gasket was changed.

Thanx again

Changing the O2 is easy if you have the correct socket tool.
