Default girl in distress..my baby wont start..??

the other moring i was leaving to go to work and my car wouldn't start.. the engine does turn over ..but no starting . i replaced the starter because i noticed it seemed loose and sure enough when i pulled it out it was cracked !! so i thought for sure this was the problem . but alast .. my baby still sits not starting .. i thought maybe the fuel pump !! no it's humming away .. please help any suggestions .. would be great i'm willing to try anything !!

have you pulled the codes yet to see if anything came up? hows your spark, has the plugs and wires been replaced? could also be your timing as well code be off a tooth just some suggestions, good luck !!!

yeah the plugs /wires are new and i did check the codes but it didnt help.. thanks for responding

hm, perhaps the coil pack but you have probably checked that out, even though your fuel pump is humming it could still be bad.

Before you go pulling the fuel pump.. Check the pressure at the rail. Not positive on what the pressure should be, I am sure someone else here can give some insight to that.. but I would check pressure before you pull the pump. Does your gas cap seal nice? Even if it does, I would try dumping a container of dry gas into the tank, just incase some moisture got in there somehow, that could cause the car not to start also! Just some suggestions! Hate to have you pull that tank and find out that wasnt the problem! Start small.. usually its the smallest, most piddely thing that does it...

Also, how are your grounds? Check the one on the terminal, make sure its nice and tight and clean.. and then follow it down to where it grounds out on the block.. make sure that is nice and tight and clean too! Neons are notorious for wanting nice grounds...
