just put rims on my neon
ok i just tried to put some rims on my neon, i just got it, and i got the rims for dirt cheap so i was gonna put em on, they are 205/50/17 and the front driver is great but the rear driver side rubs the shock/strut/spring. i dont know what to do seeing how i just got this car today, i tried to search but couldnt find anything. i didnt try the passenger side i just started with the driver
45's are too big, i got a flat tire about 3 years ago out in the ghetto part of chicago....i didnt have a spare so i had to stop and get a new tire put on the rim, unfortunately the closest size they had was a 215/45-17..(i know its a little bit bigger then what you are asking about, but there isnt that much difference at all)...i had to get home as soon as i could so i had them put the tire on there anyways....on the way home all you could hear was a loud rubbing sound.....when i got home i looked at the tire and the spring seat on the strut rubbed a big groove on the tread of the tire.....if you want a picture i can take one for you since the tire is still on the rim sitting in my garage....(i just havent been able to find anyone to buy the rims since they are in kinda rough shape so i havent neede to take off the tire)
