You can always hook up a compression tester to see if there is any cylinder leaks from the head gasket or the valves or the piston rings. Does smoke come out of your exhaust? Is the inside of the tail pipe greasy? Is there Suit build up on the rear bumper where the tail pipe exits? Those would also be some indications for a leak in the cylinders. Do you smell rotten eggs under heavy acceleration? (that would be an indicator that the cats are dirty or clogged)

check at the rear of the engine for the head gasket leaking, cam sensor leaking, uhhh lets see, oil pressure light switch leaks alot on these, if you have no leaks then see above post, with over 100k its normal to use some oil, maybe 1/2 quart every 3,000 miles, depending on how it was maintained, how much is it using??

It does smoke but more noticable when the heater is on. The heater will run a person out of the car. The car also needs a catiyk convertor its falling apart in pieces.
