Default Airbag Control Unit

Been trolling the forums for a while, w/o posting... 1st post wanted to say Thanx for all the great info and direction b4 I start in.

Is there any reason I can't remove the AirBag control unit from under the console? We already removed the bags themselves and eventally will remove the crash sensors, but I wasn't sure if I was going to find myself unable to run the car because of some manufacturer safety controls with the unit removed..

Also are they any online FSM's availible? haven't had much luck with the 98 neon, did find one for a Sentra ><

Thanx,
Kevin

Those are copyrighted and illegal to post online.

You can remove it w/o any problems. Are you making it an allout racecar or are just doing some weight reduction?

Found some quasi-FSM's at autozone.com, but you have to rent them.

We are prepping it for Rally, with the help and guidance of Rumblesoftracing.com, with Cris Marciniak leading the charge.

So the anwer to your question is Yes we are lightening it and Yes we will be racing it. We plan on running in the Stock class so we are somewhat limited on what we can ADD, but we can and have removed quite a bit.

thanx,
Kevin
