ok guy selling this says he sucked up air into his intake driving through a puddle....now his motor knocks...my question is: how deep was the puddle lol look where his intake is....its not an iceman or DIY 3.0 or even a CAI for that matter lol

i think you mean water


i had that problem before, it was a real rainy day and i was goin to a friends house...the road was flooded over and i couldnt see it because of how bad it was raining at the time.....the water was pretty deep and i had my k&n intake on the car that positioned it just like the that APC one in the pic........at the speed i was goin the water splashed up behind the engine and it sucked it right in.....seized up the motor and i had to get a new one.....thing that sux is that the motor this happened to was just put in the car a month earlier since the timing belt went out on the previous one

I saw that car on Ebay yesterday. Dont know how he sucked up water, but I guess it may be possible.

like i said, if you hit the water fast enough, then the cross member is kinda used as a spoiler and splashes the water right up behind the engine
