Default Turbo pistons question

Okay I was wondering if it's fine to have JE 8.8:1 Turbo Pistons in my car without the turbo. I'm rebuilding the engine this
winter, but I want to make sure It's fine to run the car with those type of pistons. I think it shouldn't be a problem.

i am hoping i can weezel enough money to get some je pistons and eagle rods, that way in a month or so when i put my turbo on, i can crank up the boost.....but it is gonna be kinda pricey so i might just go with wiseco pistons....but im not sure

i check it every once and a while....they are a good price, but thats still alot of money...you figure like 800 for the pistons and rods, then another 500 for the machine work to the block.....1300 is alot of money to come up with in one shot

Your car will run fine, but it will be slower with that low compression.

I was wrong about the compression. The compression is 9.2:1 for the SOHC engines.(Which is what I have.)
